Curly Nikki | Why I Chose Simplicity Over Vanity

Sometimes it is not that serious to have the tightest hairstyle to prove that natural hair can be pretty, funky, or {fill in the blank}.  It needs to be loved and worn with pride no matter the choice of style.  Do not get me wrong, I am taken aback when I talk to different people who say I like your hair, I want to go natural, because I want easy hair, i do not like to do my hair, or so it will curl up.  i also hate the remarks of your hair looks good on you, but everybody does not need to go natural. A current SC State student said, "there are so many naturals running around campus with these nappy fros thinkin they cute.  Theirs don't look like yours?  See you got good hair. Chile, catch this head on day 4 or even after using the wrong concoction, and you might say I do not need to be natural either.  Take care of your tresses.  It does not need to be expensive.  Although being natural can be a pain, it does not need to consume you.   I say this as I write about my kinks, but its true, the goal is to make it the norm.

Some say (natural ) hair is not that serious, but let something happen to that mane of yours and lets see how serious it is.  Hair is an extension of you.  Your hair does not make you, you are not your hair.  Enjoy the read!
