I was at the door honey on Friday Sept. 15th at the door😫. There was about 15 people waiting outside to enter. As the doors opened we all rushed straight to the Fenty Beauty. A rep approached me and matched me between the 400 and 420 shades. She advised that the 400 was warm and 420 was neutral. So neither was necessarily darker or lighter than the other, but they had a different undertone. I am a NC50 in Mac for reference. I and others felt that the 420 looked more natural on me. I agreed and I scooped up the 420. I have checked different sites and videos. My color selection may be off due to oxidation later on in the day and the other people that I have cross referenced: @FabEllis is 370, my friend is 390, a coworker who is definitely lighter than the previous three mentioned is 380. I don't know. What I do know is the neutral toned 420 warms my skin, giving me a tanned island feel. Like, not too dark, it's just tanned! I have used my maybelline fit me cafe concealer to offset and neutralize my overall look! Ms. Fenty suggests using the Pro Filt'r foundation, then the highlighter and gloss for a fresh face look. I definitely agree. Jackie Aina, on video does not look my shade but we both wear 420. Youtuber , Nyma Tang is 490, I will have a pic below. Tell me what you think!!!?? Which shade are you?

Getting back to me

Getting back to Me So, we've all figured out that I am not tech savvy, I am not a PRO makeup artist. What I do know is I am a makeup technique, application, and brand enthusiast. I have been a makeup artist since Southside High School; when I was sneaking and using my mom's Fashion Fair Chocolate Raspberry lipstick. People, friends, classmates, sorors, coworkers, and acquaintances have let, right, let me arch their brows, apply their makeup for weddings, date nights, interviews, birthdays, proms, and just because. They have trusted me in their hair with box braids, bantu knots, havana twists, Dooby wraps, rodsets, crochet styles, yo, i could keep going, and now faux locs! Will I go to school for cosmetology or to be an esthetician, I don't know? Run On! My point is I am not a pro, but I love this makeup and hair and I am getting back to me! I am a Sales Professional, Marketing graduate, and an artist and I am sensitive about my $h!t! (I had to Erykah B.). Once I figure out the technology and logistics, please believe me...it is ON! kinks and blessings
